Wells House, Inc., operating regionally in both Frederick and Washington Counties, provides evidence-based behavioral health services along a continuum of care. Services include outpatient, intensive outpatient, and low intensity residential services, case management, peer services, Telemedicine for Suboxone and Vivitrol prescriptions, GED classes and certification, Life Skills for job skills and simple money management, art and music therapies and other support services. Additionally, we partner with the University Psychological Center to provide onsite mental health services for patients with co-occurring mental health issues.
Many of our incoming patients are homeless and unemployed, because their addiction has taken everything away from them. They and/or the households they come from, are in danger of falling under the federal poverty level.
Wells House is poised to launch into the next phase of our rich 40 year history of providing comprehensive substance use disorder services to patients. With a renewed focus on service provision, and an expanded mission to also address the alarming disparities affecting those with mental health disorders, Wells House will build on our legacy of success to significantly expand the diversity of services that we provide to the citizens of our communities. By leveraging our significant assets, partnerships and experience, we will accomplish the strategic objectives set forth for the next three years in a financially sustainable manner.

2019 was a very exciting year as we continued our efforts to bring to the communities we serve awareness of and the solutions to issues surrounding substance use disorder.
